Our Story
Hello there, and nice to meet you, my name is Erica the owner and founder of Marvelous Spaces.
Let’s start from the beginning. I was only a teenager (16 to be exact) when I decided I wanted to be an Interior Decorator. I soon secured a position at a full service Interior Design Marketplace, that also specialized in window treatments. While learning the ins and outs of decorating and design year after year, in 2010, I acquired my certification in Interior Styling/Decorating. Since then I’ve created Marvelous Spaces and continually striving to make happy faces.
The Interior Styling Process
As an Interior Stylist, I work with furniture, “soft” furnishings like fabrics, rugs, accessories, and colors to pull together just one room, or entire houses. It all starts with a conversation between you and I.
When you book a consultation we will discuss style, color preferences, budget, and the scope of your project. You may hire me for a one-day consultation to discover ideas that you can implement yourself, or work with me to fully complete a project from start to finish. It all depends on you, and what you need. I am happy to accommodate a wide range of customers. Over the years I have had the privilege of overseeing complete remodel/renovation projects, and working alongside individuals specializing in a variety of home improvement skillsets. No matter what we’ll find a way to turn your dreams to reality.
The Organizing Process
Now let’s get into the organizing portion of the business. Since my teenage years, I’ve cleaned my fair share of houses. I’ve seen chaos arise from years of no real system to keep clutter at a manageable level. As a young entrepreneur, I gained knowledge and experience in housekeeping, and organizing. So, one day during a conversation with my husband he mentioned the idea of adding home organizing to my services. He knew I already had my foot in the door as a decorator, and a house keeper, so why not add this much needed element to the home improvement trio? After doing some research I came to the realization of just how “real” Professional Organizing actually is! I began to create organizing packages to accommodate a variety of individuals, families, and budgets. In 2016, I launched the organizing portion of Marvelous Spaces, and my team and I have been creating calm out of chaos ever since.
